Article V of our Wheatland Hills covenants requires that WWHOA maintain a standing Design Review Committee (DRC) for reviewing plans for modifications to members' homes and lots for compliance with WHHOA covenants. The covenants also require lot owners to submit such plans to the DRC for reviews prior to implementing them.

Occasionally an owner might want to explore obtaining a variance from the covenants (which can be granted only for modifications to the lot and structures thereon, not other restrictions in the covenants). To request a variance for a project it is required that you fill out and submit a Design Variance Form. This must be done before any work begins on the project. It is also advisable that you contact the DRC to discuss the variance before you fill out the Design Variance Form.
