The bylaws have not been updated much since 1975. This is not the result of neglect. Until recently the amndment process required that a quorum of owners had be be present at an annual meeting to pass amendments. The necessary quorum was never present at these meetings.( One can easily tell that these bylaws are from a bygone era). A point of confusion is that the original bylaws were signed by the Board of Directors on June 1, 1975, but apparently were not officially recorded (with amendments) with the county until July 8, 1986. (It is not necessary, but is recommended, to record bylaws.)
You can get a coy of the original bylaws in the Quicklinks menu at the top of this page. If the Quicklinks menu is not visible, click the More menu at the top of this page to locate it.
The original bylaws are woefully out of date. Much labor has been invested in preparing an updated bylaws document based on earlier attempts. The final draft is under review and will be sent out soon for a vote of the membership. By state law voting can now be done electronically, ensuring that a quorum is more likely to be attained.
