In week 1, we looked at the natural world and our environment and answered the question 'What can I spy with my little eye?'
In week 2, we answered the question 'How can I use my senses to explore the world around me?' by investigating our different sense, feeling different textures, smelling the herb garden and tasting food from the ground
In week 3, we enjoyed exploring the seasonal changes and changes in animals life-cycles for the guided question'What changes are happening around me?'

The children have worked so hard in this case study and all of the adults are incredibly proud of how the children have listened, maintained attention, asked questions to develop their learning further. There were opportunities to work collaboratively but also times when it was requited to have quiet time and work independently. The children across EYFS thoroughly enjoyed learning about about the natural world and observing the different changes happening around them. Exploring the life cycle of a butterfly and the natural changes happening outside all around them. Keep looking below at all the wonderful work the children in Nursery and Reception have produced in this case study.
