When a model is inaccurate, incomplete, missing geometry & materials or the QA requested a model edit that is beyond 30 minutes of allotted model
fix time, please follow the instructions to send the lane to Model Fix.
Model Fix Instructions
1. Please fill out the Comments section at the bottom of the Fast Lanes page with a detailed description of what is wrong with the model and how it should be fixed using the QA Comment Codes.
When more than one code is needed, please begin with the code that describes the worst issue first.
Modelers cannot see attachments or other related images within the comments, so please use a hyperlink for any reference imagery in the comments section. The modelers only see the model code and artist comment; they do not see the lane or scene.
Best practices are to:
Include which option you are referring to if there are multiple options within the SKU.
Include a detail of the area of the model you are referring to; Include accurate, descriptive and detailed wording when commenting on model fix.
Do not include “Match the Reference” as the modeler reference images are different than what is in the Fast Lane tool.
Include actionable words like increase and decrease; Include estimated percentages whenever possible when asking for more or less of something.
Questions to answer within the text description to make sure the modeler has the information they need to correct the model include:
What is wrong with the model?
Where specifically on the model is this error?
What should it look like to be more product accurate?
What advice can be shared on how to make the change?
Have I included any and all details specific to the model fix in question?
3. Click Request Help in the upper right hand corner of the Fast Lane page.
4. Select Model Fix Request under Problem Type. Please leave the Problem Details field blank and click Submit Request. The lane will go to Paused Status and will be put into its previous status once the model is fixed. The due date will also be updated.
