Dodger’s Eltham Dandenong tournament Athlete Game Development Program (Girls and Boys intended to train separately)
Venue: Evelyn Scott School (TBC)
Dates: Sunday 16 November – 7 December, TBC 2 * January Sessions
(NOTE this means that BACT representative PPL players would only miss 1 session)
Time: Sunday 6pm to 8pm TBC
Head Coach: Stuart Whitten
Assistant Coaches: Multiple, coaches support the program presented by the Head Coach, Stuart Whitten
Registration Age Groups: U14 to U18
EOI only age group: U20 may register for the skills program and if sufficient interest we will follow-up for Eltham (U12s not this year)
Content: Focus on accountability, growth mindset and fitness. Suitable for players that are excited to work very hard, are focused on achieving their basketball goals and welcome authentic feedback to support development. This program will focus on tournament preparation building a shared offence and defence and accountability in execution.
The program will prepare Dodger’s teams to compete in the Eltham Dandenong Tournament in Melbourne January 23 (earliest games 5pm) through January 26.
The Eltham Dandenong Junior Basketball Tournament is one of the longest running and largest Basketball Tournaments in the world. Minimum of five games, teams will be graded according to level (Eltham offers high level rep through to community club level).
Representative level players: Interested players currently under consideration for BACT representative teams should register and will be reimbursed if their schedule prevents them from participating.
Costs:
Dodgers program cost is $70 to be paid through PlayHQ. This covers training and Eltham tournament team nomination fees.
Eltham tournament individual registration will be $75 paid through the tournament site in December.
Dodgers participation in Eltham tournament will be on the basis of self-transport and accommodation at your own cost in addition to the cost of this program.
