We're fortunate at Dodgers to have an awesome depth of knowledge and experience across our coaching community. We have parents that are new to coaching and developing their skills and former NBL, WNBL, Australian Players, NBL1 coaches and ACT representative team coaches. We encourage our coaches to engage with coaching development through the BACT Coaching courses and provide a Coach Induction afternoon before each winter season to support our coaches in working effectively with young players whilst maintaining the philosophy of Dodgers Spirit - hard work, hustle and sportsmanship.

Fee Discounts for Coaches and Age Group Coordinators

At Dodgers, from the 2025 Winter season, all Coaches and Age Group Coordinators will receive a discount of $50 from the following seasons registrations fees, for each team that they coach. This discount will be provided to coaches and AGC's as a discount code to use in PlayHQ before they register for the following season.

Working with Vulnerable People (WWVP) Registration

At Dodgers, player safety is given utmost priority. All Dodgers coaches must hold a current Working with Vulnerable People card. Dodgers are expected to register as a coach in the PlayHQ registration system provided by Basketball ACT. Regular check are done to ensure that this has occurred.

Coach and Team Manager Induction
