All clubs will be permitted to register teams in the 2025 Summer Open competition
The Top 8 teams at the end of the 2025 Summer Open competition will form the 2026 Winter JPL competition. There will be no more than 8 teams in each competition. Teams that finish outside the top 8 will play Division 1.
Only Restricted Players and players that were on Local Interchange to a club that finished in the top 8 teams in the Summer Open will be permitted to Local Interchange (Temporary Transfer) to clubs and schools that do form the 2026 Winter JPL
There will be NO full transfers permitted between 2025 Summer Open and 2026 Winter JPL, meaning the team that takes the court in the 2025 Summer Open will be the same team as the 2026 Winter JPL team, with the exception of any internal changes that may be necessary or full transfers that have been permitted for other reasons eg. a player moving from another clubs catchment area or leaving a school.
Clubs will NOT be permitted to hold external trials between the 2025 Summer Open and the 2026 Winter JPL. Dodgers will hold internal trials before the 2026 Winter JPL.
2026 U19 Winter JPL teams will be permitted to have up to 4 Restricted players
Schools must have completed their Summer Open Trials before 16 August - if you go to a school that requires you to play but would like to play with Dodgers on the 2025 Summer Open OR 2026 Winter JPL, please contact WCWDRegistrar@gmail.com to discuss.
Players are only permitted to trial if they are registered to trial. Players that are not registered will not be permitted to trial. Dodgers will have a QR code displayed on the front door at the trial venue for players that need to register.
Clubs must provide their Summer Open/JPL Team lists to BACT before 15 September 2025. Dodgers players will be provided first round offers for Summer Open/JPL teams on 2 September 2025. Players should accept offers before midnight 6 September. Second round offers will go out on 7 September. Players should accept offers 12 September.
