Westfield Ultimate Frisbee
The Westfield Ultimate program is a 3rd through 12th grade coed program with teams and leagues for all age levels. The high school open program competes regionally and nationally. They were USA Ultimate NJ State Champions in 2014, 2016, 2017, and 2022.
About Ultimate:
Ultimate Frisbee is an exciting, non-contact sport, that combines the aerial passing of football with the non-stop movement and athletic endurance of soccer. The game is played 7 on 7 where players can only advance the disc only by passing and a point is scored when a player catches the disc in the endzone.
Philosophy:
The philosophy of the Westfield Ultimate program is focused on building a team first attitude and helping youths build relationships among their peers. Ultimate is a self-refereed sport and players develop mutual respect even against our biggest rivals. We focus on building the entire athlete from physical athleticism to skill development to mental toughness to teaching life skills and building meaningful relationships among players both older and younger in the program, among coaches and staff, and toward opposing players. In fact, on the left, you can see Sadie and the girls team in a spirit circle against their opponents after a tightly contested game.
