Items All Riders Should Carry
Every Practice (and every ride), riders MUST be carrying the following items:
Water - Chances are, you don't know what your ride leader has in store for practice. Bring more than you think you'll need--always!
Food (quick carbs like a gel or gummy bears are great NOT a protein bar)
Spare Tube (Make sure to get the right size and valve stem)
Tube Patch Kit
Air Source (CO2, Pump or both--If you use CO2, make sure to have extra cartridges. One 16 gram CO2 cartridge will not fully inflate a 29 inch tire
Sidewall Patch
Your Photo ID (if you have one)
Bike Multi-tool
Quick Link For Your Chain Size

Light (Bar or helmet-mounted)
Zip Ties (hundreds of uses)
Duct Tape (More uses than zip ties!)
Cell Phone (if you have one)
This list isn't all inclusive. You can always carry more! Remember, it's probably a long walk back to the Trailhead!
