Please read thoroughly. Please sign and submit a hard copy of this contract to Mrs. McNeil (or your middle school band director) by April 28th.
Please note that the band fair share payment is listed as "no more than" $400. We do a fund raiser each year to try to raise the full cost of the season and divide the remainder up amongst the marching band students which is why we are not giving you an exact amount now. Fund raising opportunities will be available. There are still a lot of factors we are waiting on before we can set that number, but we will fit the season within the cost of $400 or less per student.
Please review all dates. Please also note, the first schedule I printed was missing two home football games. The one below is correct.
Students received invoices for band fair share payments after we subtracted the vertical raise amount that you all raised (thank you again for your incredible participation and support with that!). Here is a link for you to pay online if you would like to. Thank you! Please let me know if you have any trouble with the link or have any questions.
Things to remember:
*Wear red MB T-shirt and school appropriate pants
*Get pass from band room on Wed afternoon or Thurs morning
*Report to Band Room at 12:40pm
*We have rehearsal after the pep rally until 4pm.
*This is the drill for both Thursday and Friday.
Please pick up your pass Wednesday afternoon or Thursday morning from the band room. You will use the same pass for both Thursday and Friday. Mrs. McNeil has them all ready to go. You will need to wear your red marching band T-shirt (like the one in the picture to the left), school appropriate pants, and tennis shoes or comfortable shoes that are school appropriate.

Important Camp Paperwork just in case you misplace it, would like to refer to it online, or would like to look at it in the parent meeting on the first day of camp....or if you are really awesome....you could print out the ones that say "fill out and return" and turn them in on the first day of camp!
Please fill out and return!
Please fill out and return!
Did you miss out on paying your marching band deposit? Do you need a way to pay for your marching band fiar share payment online? After we do our Vertical Raise Fund Raiser, you will also be able to pay your remaining amount to this link. I will pass out more information at marching band camp. A huge thank you to our Band Boosters for putting this payment option together. Please direct any questions to treasurer@westcabarrusbandboosters.com.
Gia Bravo and Lee Franklin will be drum majors for the Marching Wolverines for the 2024 season. I just know that our resident bass player and drum set player from jazz band will be able to keep us "In the Swing of Things" both on and off the field this season. Let's have a great season!
2024 Mini Camp was a huge success thanks to the hard work of our awesome Marching Wolverines! Let's have a great season. I'm so glad we are "In the Swing of Things!"
The closer will be based on Sing, Sing, Sing and the other movements will be originally composed by our very own Assistant Director and Percussion Instructor, Mr. Daniel Lloyd. We are in for a treat as Mr. Lloyd composes in the style of your favorite swing bands such as Glenn Miller, Benny Goodman, Duke Ellington, and more. While those jazz standards are great, we are excited to share fresh new compositions that will surely have you swing dancing on the sideline when you hear and see the show. Let's have a great season, Marching Wolverines!
Seniors......I'm still in denial that this is your last year, but we had better make it a great one!
Check out these awesome pictures from the Porter Ridge Band Festival on Saturday. The photographer shared the link and said I could share with parents and students so you can have these awesome pictures!

Please see 2023 mini camp info to the right. This is also good information for the whole season. Please e-mail Mrs. McNeil if you have any questions (westcabarrusbanddirector@gmail.com)
