West African Youth Network held a two-day capacity building for Staff and Volunteers
The West African Youth Network organized a two-day capacity building for its Staff and Volunteers on the 4th and 5th November 2021. The capacity building was held at the head office of 79 Pademba Road, Freetown.
The capacity building for staff and volunteers of WAYN was to enhance effectiveness and professionalism in their work. The Administrative Officer, Mr. Raymond Beckley said, the training will empower staff and volunteers for the ongoing education project.
A representative from the Anti-Corruption Commission, Mr. Alex A Bah facilitated on report mechanisms of corrupt acts. He added by providing the Anti-Corruption Commission report channels; which can be done onsite and online. He further emphasizes on ACC protection mechanism for whistleblowers.
The Analyses planning and evaluation officer of WAYN, Mr. Ansumana Keita, facilitated the topic on Public Relations strategies. He said Public Relations is writing and speaking. He added that, Public Relations helps the organization to create a good image with their publics.
The capacity building ended with training in Excel, Word, and report writing.
