These are just a few snapshots over the past 8 years of programs and robots purchased for students to use in the classroom as well as participate in various competitions with students from around our community and state. In Ozark, I made the connections to bring robotics programs to our school so that students could have an introduction to building and coding before they entered high school to choose their career paths. These programs were offered to all of my students so they each had an opportunity to learn and grow in a program that was making marks within our state and country. As I began my career with Coppinville Jr. High School, I ensured our students had multiple opportunities to participate in robotics programs at the middle school level for competition as well as learning. I introduced Passion Projects to our STEM program to guide students in learning about current issues our state and world may be facing. We looked at these issues and the students then determined what interested them the most, then they created a presentation, budget, and robot to solve the issue they chose. I found throughout this project that allowing student empowerment, they took more ownership of their work and in the end were proud to make an impact. This and various other opportunities I have encountered led me to my "Signature Project'' idea during my internship.
