Step 3: Learn about the Rules of Netiquette

Assignment

Part 1:

Make a list of the 5 rules of netiquette that you feel are the most important. create a post on the Netiquette discussion board listing your 5 rules and why you chose them. The rules can be written as a list, but the explanation should be a short paragraph. Think about the following questions while considering your 5 rules:

• Why is netiquette important to discussion boards?
• Why types of rules should be considered for classroom discussion boards?
• Suppose someone in the class does not know what netiquette is, how would you explain it to them?

Part 2:

1. Use the Discussion board to compiles your groups rules and decided on the 10 most important. I will also be commenting on your rules and your discussion.
2. Create a shared Word Document. This document will be shared with Mrs. Tippens and Each of your group members. (Directions for sharing a word document can be found at the bottom of this page).
3. Use this word document to create a flyer for the rules of Netiquette as decided by your team. The flyer should include the list of 10 rules and should contain graphics that enhance the meaning of the list. Be sure to properly cite the sources and images.
4. These fliers will be posted in the Student Life room at the beginning of the school year and will be the rules of Netiquette that the class follows.
