Google Sites: SEO

What is SEO: Search engine optimization

Search engine optimization, also known as SEO is a process where the creator of a website optimizes the webpage it in a way that it is friendly for search engines such as Google search, Yahoo, Bing and others. This means the robots created by search engine companies can easily access your site and the site ticks all the important boxes, such as speed, accessibility, mobile friendly and more.

Which engines to focus on?

There are multiple search engines and browser out there, so the question is where to focus? I have a good news for you. Google Search has more tan 90% dominance on the search market, so you can basically ignore everything else, since Google will bring you the most traffic and uplift. There is also strategy to focus on the others, however this is for more experienced people, so I would not recommend that in the first step.

2nd point is that all the search engines are using similar methodology for ordering search results, which means if you make a site friendly for Google, you are automatically ranking higher also on other search engines.

To sum up: Google is the only search engine you should focus on.
