About Me:

Hi, I’m Sugata Paul, a Ph.D. student in the Department of Physics at IIT Kanpur, working in the field of experimental condensed matter physics under the supervision of Prof. Satyajit Banerjee.

I completed my Master’s degree (M.Sc.) from IIT Kanpur, where I carried out my research project in the same laboratory. My current research focuses on topological insulator materials and how their properties evolve from three-dimensional to two-dimensional systems. I am also interested in strongly correlated electron systems and the fascinating interplay between strong electronic correlations and band topology in novel quantum materials.
