I am an assistant professor in the Department of Biology and discipline-based education researcher. Originally from the Chicagoland area, I received my B.S. from Marquette University, where I studied community ecology and first became interested in research as a long-term career. I received my Ph.D. from the University of Tennessee-Knoxville in 2023 (go vols!) under the mentorship of Dr. Beth Schussler. I completed an NSF PRF under the mentorship of Dr. Melissa Aikens at the University of New Hampshire.

Postdoctoral Researchers
I am a postdoctoral researcher in the Weatherton Lab. I completed my undergraduate and master's degrees in biology at California State University, Sacramento, before earning my Ph.D. from the University of Tennessee. I have been conducting biology education research since 2019, and my work examines undergraduate students' self-efficacy and perceptions of failure. Outside of work, I enjoy hiking with my family.
