I am an assistant professor in the Department of Biology and discipline-based education researcher. Originally from the Chicagoland area, I received my B.S. from Marquette University, where I studied community ecology and first became interested in research as a long-term career.  I received my Ph.D. from the University of Tennessee-Knoxville in 2023 (go vols!) under the mentorship of Dr. Beth Schussler. I completed an NSF PRF under the mentorship of Dr. Melissa Aikens at the University of New Hampshire.

I am a PhD student in the Weatherton Lab. I am originally from Orange County, California, but graduated from Boise State University with a degree in Biology with an emphasis in Ecology, Evolution, and Behavior. My interest in biology education began through my teaching experiences at BSU. Outside of school, I enjoy playing and watching soccer, football, and sports of any kind, as well as reading and cooking!
