We Are Artistic is based in Washington DC.

No! Anyone from anywhere in the world is welcome to sign up as a virtual volunteer. However, you must live in the DMV area if you’d like to volunteer at our in‑person events. 

Thank you for filling out our interest form. We do our best to get back to you as soon as we can. We respond to all submissions on a rolling basis.

We recommend starting with just one department so you don’t burn yourself out or take on too much at once. If you feel comfortable balancing more than one, you’re welcome to do so, just make sure it’s manageable for you. 

If we decide to proceed, you will hear from us in 3 days.

Anyone is welcome to apply for a leadership position. However, roles are offered to the candidate who best fits the position based on experience, skills, and other relevant factors. Even if you’re not selected for a leadership role, you’re always welcome to volunteer, our volunteer opportunities are open to everyone. 

You betcha! Give us a few examples of what you're good at so we can match you with the department that best suits you. 

Yes! We Are Artistic is fiscally sponsored by Hack Club, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit. Our registered EIN is 81-2908499.

We are an official 501(c)(3) fiscally sponsored by hack club, and we’re always happy to sign off on community service hours if permitted by your school. 

How to Get Your Hours Approved

• Submit your school’s community service form by email, or you can bring it with you if you’re volunteering at an event in person.

• Send us the website your school uses to track hours, and we will enter or approve the hours directly on that platform. Send all requests to waaoutreachteam@gmail.com.

• If your school does not have a form, we can provide a certificate and verification letter. You can also track your hours using the sheet we provide.

Yes, we are! We’re happy to sign any MCPS SSL forms. Please note that we can only approve SSL hours for opportunities that are officially listed on the Montgomery County Volunteer Center site and SSL approved.

Yes, we are! However, at this time no organizations are able to award PSVA awards. There is currently no timeline for when they will resume. Once awarding opens again, as long as you have completed the minimum required hours for your age group and provided proof, we will be able to issue one for you.

Yes! Corporate teams are welcome to volunteer at any of our in‑person events. We simply ask that your group register in advance so we can prepare appropriately and ensure a smooth experience for everyone. We currently do not have any virtual volunteering open for corporate teams.
