Dr. Faridah Yakob

BIOGRAPHY

Faridah Yakob is the Director of Teacher Education Institutes

(IPG) Perempuan Melayu Malacca Campus. She started her first studies in the field of postgraduate teaching Diploma in Science and Mathematics at College Teacher, Kinta Ipoh in 1995. After that, she continued her Bachelor’s Degree with Honors at National University of Malaysia (UKM) in 1989 and then to a higher level, a master’s degree in the field of Conservation Biology at the same university in 2001. Now, she obtained her PhD in Biological Sciences since 2009. Her first work experience was at Teachers College, Kinta Ipoh in 1995 and then continued working at Technical Teachers College. After that, in 2006 she served at the Malaysian Institute of Teacher Education, Perlis Campus. In 2011, she continued her service and devotion in education at Aminuddin Baki Institute, Genting Highlands. Lastly, she moved to Institute of Teacher Education, Perempuan Melayu Malacca Campus at 2019, and she is working there until now.
