Design Direction

Typography

• Use Open Sans Bold for quotes and headlines

• Use Open Sans Regular for body copy

Color

• Be sure to check the color contrast of text and any informational graphics for web accessibility. See Accessibility page for more information.

• Limit the amount of colors in each post to about 3 (not including white)

Logo

• Use the appropriate logo color variation to ensure legibility

Photography

• Use large background photos for posts that don't have much (or any) text

• Crop photos for posts with lots of text and for headshots. See Cropping Photos section of the Photography page.

Illustration

• Use only ONE type of illustration for each post

• Illustrations can be cropped or flipped differently for each post. If resizing, adjust the weight of the stroke (this may require Adobe Illustrator or InDesign) accordingly so that it's similar to the weights in other posts.

• Align illustrations to either the top, left, or right side of a post. Avoid placing at the bottom if the logo is in the bottom right corner.
