The logo embodies the concept of humans and nature together as one. The salmon represents fauna, and is crucial to Washington's ecosystem; the alder leaf represents flora and restoration, as it is one of the first to regrow after a fire or disturbance; and the cupped hand represents the responsibility we have as humans to take care of the earth.
The hand-drawn style of the logomark adds a human and organic touch, making the logo feel personable, down-to-earth, and friendly.
The font used for the logo is Pill Gothic 300mg Bold, which can be accessed via Adobe Fonts or purchased from MyFonts.com. The font for the tagline is Open Sans Regular Italic, which can be accessed and downloaded for free via Google Fonts.
