The Williams-Borden Neighborhood lies in the heart of Galveston Island, between Avenues M & S, from 35th to 39th Streets. Our mission is to encourage preservation, revitalization, and neighborhood livability efforts within our boundaries, the surrounding community, and Galveston Island. WBNA serves not only as a community organization but also as an advocate for residents, property owners, and business.

Building Community Together
The Williams–Borden Neighborhood Association (WBNA) continues to bring neighbors together through meaningful events, community engagement, and leadership opportunities. As we move through 2026, there are several exciting ways to stay connected, get involved, and strengthen the heart of our neighborhood.
Upcoming WBNA Events - Add These to your Calendar
We kick things off with our Spring Picnic on Saturday, May 30 from 12:00–2:00 PM. Home of Mikey and Allen Isbell, 1715 35th St. This is a great opportunity to gather with neighbors, enjoy good food, and spend time together in a relaxed, family-friendly setting.
In July, we invite residents to stay engaged with both leadership and social opportunities. The WBNA Board Meeting will be held Thursday, July 16 from 6:30–7:30 PM at the McClere’s Home at 3503 Bernardo De Galvez Ave
Join us for a fun evening at our WBNA Happy Hour: Dog Days of Summer on Wednesday, July 22 from 5:00–7:00 PM at Local Dogs (1325 Mike Gaido Blvd, 39th Street). This is a great chance to unwind, meet neighbors, and enjoy the summer together.
As we head into the fall, don’t miss our WBNA Meeting on Saturday, September 12 from 10:30 AM–12:00 PM at Shrimp ’N Stuff (3901 Avenue O). This meeting will include updates from public officials, an important opportunity for residents to help shape the future of our neighborhood.
