The Prevaricating Day
Summer in the North Country
A warm breeze, briefly noted.
Through pine and hardwood,
Crossing fields of corn and
Unmown grass portending hay
Cutting, courting, cunning
Teasing, testing, trimming
As if intending to remain,
Yet only taunting.
June days, behind us now,
Beckoned us out, out
Out to shake off winter
Stubbornly liberating spring
A month of April showers,
Ours for but a pair of days,
Dried to hard baked soil by May
Constraining wildflowers
Still pushing, prodding, poking through
Heralding summer’s silken start.
Now, even as a warm wind blows from the West,
Turning winged wind turbines
Rising from the ridge
Leaves of red and orange burst forth,
From windblown maple
Pecking, peaking
Flaring, fusillade of fall
From a tableau of green and blue
A warning beacon, summer is fleeting!
Autumn lies just beneath the surface
Of the prevaricating day.
The Gathering Storm
The Gathering Storm
Borne on an ill wind, our own
Confers no favor.
Wind in the Washline
Peace Comes on a Breeze
Spirits Rise, Hope is Reborn
The Washline Dances

"Sacred Trust" Book Signing and Discussion with author former Senator Wayne D. King at Plymouth Historical Society, Plymouth, NH.
Artist, author and former State Senator Wayne D. King will be the featured guest on May 15, 2019 at the Plymouth Historical Society, Plymouth, NH. from 7-9 p.m.
Wayne will be reading from and leading a discussion about his novel "Sacred Trust" described by the author as a thinly disguised critique of the Northern Pass proposal and others like it, cloaked in a rollicking campaign of civil disobedience, environmental patriotism and economic sanity.
"Sacred Trust' is a vicarious, high-voltage campaign to stop the Granite Skyway Power Transmission Project and a fight for an energy future based on sustainable, and renewable energy deployed through micro-grids, smart-grids and a competitive environment that makes energy more - not less - affordable.
