Apparatus Flow Study

WSI offers an assessment of flow and pressure for preconnected attack hose lines on your fire apparatus. With the use of calibrated test equipment, we will measure the flow and pressure of each preconnected attack line, using your hose and nozzles. A detailed report with the results of the tests includes a diagram of pump pressures and a color coded pump discharge pressure chart to keep with each rig.

Hose & Nozzle Systems Evaluations

WSI provides services to evaluate different hose and nozzle systems. We will use calibrated flow equipment to help departments determine proper pressures and flows, choose nozzles for purchase or simply help firefighters understand the basics of the hose and nozzle system. The assessments review nozzle design and function, stream performance, flow and pressure, nozzle reaction and hose/nozzle match and handling.

Apparatus Design

WSI will work with your apparatus committee to review certain apparatus components as they relate to water supply and fire attack. We specialize in providing guidance for the apparatus pump, plumbing, hose beds and hose storage wells. We will work with committees for the design of brush trucks, pumpers, water tenders and aerials with pumps.
