Hydrographs and annual water budgets

The fundamental dependent variable in the science of watershed hydrology is the stream hydrograph. First, we focus on understanding how hydrographs are measured, which includes some of the foundational skills of understanding dimensional thinking, chemical hydrologic tracers, and open channel hydraulics. Then, we talk about some of the basic qualitative and statistical interpretations of hydrographs. Finally, we cover the most fundamental characterization of watershed function, the annual water budget and energy budgets.
