Beirut
Beirut
The nymphaeum of Beirut is today located along a road near the port, but was originally located near the cardo. In the 1950s it was excavated, then dismantled and rebuilt along Charles Helou Boulevard. Very little is known about the building, which was probably built in the 2nd century AD and remained in use for a long time, perhaps until the late 6th century AD.
