Water and ecology - How can we protect our aquatic ecosystems?

In this part of our project, we studied different vulnerable aquatic ecosystems to learn about the state of our waters. All participants focused on their local areas and learned about different ecological challenges for our aquatic ecosystems. As we explored how we can protect our ecosystems, we learned about different examples and challenges, as well as actions that have been taken to make our use of our waters more sustainable. 

The students presented their findings in international groups during our meeting in Finland. After this theoretical approach to the topic, the students got active themselves when they participated in a race to raise money for the protection of the Baltic Sea.
