Wash House runs the Wash House mobile app. This page covers what data we collect, what we do with it, and who else might see it. Nothing complicated — we just want to be upfront about it. Using the app means you are okay with what is described here.

1. What Information We Collect
Creating an account means we pick up your name, phone number and email. As you start ordering, we also store the addresses you save, your order history, and any notes you leave for the cleaning team. Payment info goes through our payment processor — we never actually see or store your full card number ourselves. Your device sends us some basic technical stuff too. Operating system, app version, that kind of thing. Mostly so we know when something crashes and can fix it.
2. How We Use It
Mostly it goes towards running your order. Getting a driver to your door, letting you know where things are, making sure the payment goes through. We look at usage patterns too — helps us figure out what is broken and what to improve. Occasionally we send promotional offers. You can turn those off in your account settings whenever you want.
Support queries are handled using whatever info is relevant to your issue. Nothing more than that.
3. Third-Party Services
We use a few third-party tools that help us run the app properly. These include Google Firebase for crash reporting and push notifications, Google Analytics for understanding how the app is used, and Meta Ads for advertising. We also use payment gateways to process transactions securely. These services operate under their own privacy policies, and we'd encourage you to review those if you're curious.
We want to be clear about one thing: the data collected through the Wash House app is handled in accordance with Google Play's Data Safety requirements and is not sold to third parties under any circumstances.
4. Permissions the App Asks For
The app will ask for a few permissions on your device. Here's what they're for and why we need them.
Internet access is needed to run the app at all, process orders, and keep everything synced. Push notifications let us tell you when your driver is on the way, when your order is being cleaned, and when it's heading back to you. Camera access is optional — it only comes into play if you choose to upload a photo for a specific order, like a bag or a pair of shoes that need special care. We do not access your camera without your explicit action.
You can change any of these permissions at any time in your device settings.
5. Who We Share Your Data With
We do not sell personal data to any third parties under any circumstances. The only people your information gets shared with are the ones who need it to actually fulfil your order — delivery drivers get your name, address and contact number, payment processors handle the transaction side of things, and our cleaning facility handles the garment care. Any third-party partners we work with are bound by confidentiality agreements.
If we're ever required to share information by law — for fraud prevention or a legal obligation — we'll comply with that, but that's the only other circumstance in which your data leaves us.
6. How Long We Keep It
We keep your personal data for up to 2 years from your last active use of the app, unless the law requires us to hold onto it for longer. After that, it gets securely deleted or anonymised. We don't hold onto data longer than we need it.
7. Security
We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your information against unauthorised access, loss, or misuse. That includes encryption in transit, secure server infrastructure, and access controls for anyone on our team who handles data.
That said, no system is completely foolproof. We can't guarantee 100% security over the internet, but we do everything reasonable to protect what you share with us.
8. Deleting Your Account
If you want your account and data removed, just email us at customercare.washhouse@gmail.com with "Delete My Account" in the subject line. Include your registered phone number. We'll process it within 7 days. Some data may need to be kept where required by law.
9. Notifications
We'll push notifications for order updates, driver arrivals, and the odd promotion. If you'd rather not receive them, you can turn them off in your device settings — it won't affect your ability to use the app.
10. Children
The Wash House app is not intended for anyone under 13. We don't knowingly collect data from children, and if we ever find out that we have, we'll delete it straight away. If you think a child has created an account, please contact us.
11. Changes to This Policy
We'll update this page if the policy changes and we'll note the new date at the top. If it's a significant change, we'll try to let you know through the app too. Carrying on using the app after a change means you're okay with the updated policy.
