TIKToK sued
Just 6 days ago, the EU sued TikTok for 600 million due to a breach. An investigation has shown that TikTok has data transfers to China that put users at risk of spying. Notable other countries have taken issue with TikTok's lack of privacy compliance, like Ireland and the United States. In this instance, I'm not sure if it's a way to protect ourselves other than not downloading the app, since this is an internal problem.

A russian hacking gang called NoName057(16) has gone viral for hacking multiple UK websites, including local councils and the Association for Police and Crime Commissioners, during a three-day campaign. These had little success in their efforts, but the motive seems to have stemmed from anti - ukrane funding from the UK government. To protect information, don't open random password resets and look out for fake IT help desk operators.
