Childhood Memories
The mural on this wall is a collaborative creation by the artists MONPHING, LAZY PAW, AKA: mékoiy, aka. gamuuu, Mei-Mei, and Nai-Rai-Ta. Together, they bring to life the theme of “Childhood Memories,” telling heartfelt stories deeply connected to the people of Warin Chamrap.
As you walk along the wall, you’ll discover a variety of scenes:
• “Nong Mali” (by MONPHING and LAZY PAW), capturing the simple joy of savoring kway jub, a beloved dish of Ubon Ratchathani.
• “Chef Meejoo” (by AKA: mékoiy), symbolizing fond memories of the well-known Somtam Nam Jok shop from the past.
• “The Fresh Market” (by เหมย เหมย), recreating the lively morning atmosphere of the municipal market.
The artworks also express the community’s bond with water and nature:
• “Ma-Toh-Sa-Wa” (by aka. gamuuu), portraying the irrigation canals and floating water hyacinths.
• “Nuan Nang Warin” (by Nai-Rai-Ta), representing the pure beauty inspired by the Mun River.
• “Fish Eyes… Human Hearts,” reflecting the deep emotional connection between Warin’s people and the iconic Thepho river fish.
Together, these murals do more than brighten the space—they serve as a visual diary of warm memories, inviting everyone who passes by to reflect on their own childhood stories.
