Currently, membership fees are NOT in effect for WAMS, and coaches are generally in the water swimming the workout alongside WAMS members, rather than on deck coaching. Here’s asample workout. Please note that you can adjust the workouts however you see fit. Change the strokes, distances, rest intervals, whatever. Sometimes we swim sets together on intervals; sometimes we all just go at our own pace. Do what you want.
Please also review the visitor parking information on theWSU Parking website to avoid being ticketed. Generally speaking, parking is free on weekends and after 5:00 p.m. on weekdays during the academic year, and visitors get three free passes (but double-check the website to confirm).
If you’d like to be added you to the WAMS email list, let Katie know. She sends out updates about once a month regarding upcoming Saturday swims and social events like “Swim & Sups.” Sometimes this information is duplicated in the private WAMS Facebook group--and sometimes not. You can join the WAMS Facebook group once you have met at least one of the coaches and joined a few workouts.
