Walton PTA Class Parent: Roles and Responsibilities

As a Class Parent, you serve as a vital link between the Walton PTA, teachers, and your class families. Your primary responsibilities include:

• Serving as a Liaison: Act as a communication bridge by sharing information about important dates, school events, and PTA initiatives to other parents and the teacher.

• Facilitating Class Finances: Manage the class fund and coordinate donations for class gifts (e.g., for holidays, Teacher Appreciation Week, or the end of the year).

• Organizing Class Activities: Coordinate donations for the Basket Auction and assist with seasonal class crafts three times a year (materials will be provided by the PTA).

• Supporting School Events: Chaperone the class field trip (optional) and at least one school dance (Halloween or Valentine's Day).

• PTA Involvement: Attend at least two PTA meetings and pay the annual PTA membership dues.

• Volunteer for Committees: Sign up to volunteer for at least one PTA committee, such as the Read-a-Thon, Holiday Shoppe, or Book Fair.
