The Waltham Public Schools has gone from shared space in “other use” buildings to wooden structures to brick edifices to the current buildings constructed of cement and steel. What remains to be created, albeit already on drafting paper, is the new Waltham High School, which we hope will serve as a model for other communities. Where did you attend school? Is it still standing? What was your clearest memory of your time in that building?
The influence of our teachers is long lasting, even if we may have forgotten their names. Perhaps you can see some of their welcoming smiles or stern stares on this wall celebrating their commitment to us and our community. Those teachers not only imparted knowledge of numbers, words, theorems and theories but also helped form us as social beings and citizens. Who was your favorite teacher? Why?
