History

Everything has a history, and so does Wallpapers Web. It all started when the first Windows 11 background images were screenshotted and saved for personal records in January 3rd, 2024. A halt was made, but in the start of August, animal and background screenshots were taken from Windows Spotlights as well as the official, full-sized images from Windows. After an enormous group of images was assembled, Wallpapers Web was born, in August 25th, with version 1, a simple site.

Version 2 brought more life to the site. Version 3 and version 4 were launched later in rapid succession. Version 5 was created to bring more life after version 4, but it catapulted the site upwards. Before version 6 was launched, a domain was bought, bearing the site's name - wallpapersweb.net. This was an awesome achievement, and now, you are using version 7, the most beautiful site version we've ever made!
