Media & Marketing

I have had the opportunity to work as a Brand Ambassador for the Planks Clothing company, a "rider-owned clothing company born out of three decades absorbed in skiing and having fun in the mountains." Planks produces high quality ski garments, "taking inspiration from British design, mountain lifestyle and street culture.". It was an honor to wear and promote Planks gear to the North American market.

Bros Ain't Pros is a video blog project following the lives of several friends based out of Sun Peaks BC. The project was originally dreamed up between the collective minds of co-founders Doug Swank, Casandra 'CJ' Jakubiec, and Jamie Veilette.

Bros Ain't Pros is exactly as the name suggests. We wanted to represent a demographic in the ski world that is much larger than those who are pro, and thats the bros! Our vision was to create a community of people with similar interests, and post video blogs with subject matter that the everyday ski bum could relate to. Travelling, good times, random adventures, tricks, triumphs, falls, fails, and everything in between. We don't have the fanciest camera equipment, or the gnarliest tricks, but the lifestyle, love of being in the mountains, sharing good times with friends, and a passion for the shred, is something that we believe transcends the boundaries of everyone who has ever strapped something to their feet, and slid down a snowy face (even if you never left the bunny hill!). We are fun-loving, and aren't afraid to laugh at ourselves, as will become evident when you watch our videos! We know we aren't the best, but thats what makes us B.A.P. As a result, we welcome all sorts here on our page, and in our crew, so long as there is no hate, we want to maintain a positive atmosphere, and bring together people who feel the same!

This is an article I wrote for SBC Skier Magazine, which I submitted on the request of editor, Jeff Shmuck. We met on the ski hill one day, and he asked if I would write the review on some of the skis we demoed that day.
