Working in the wildland firefighting industry is fuelled by passion. Passion for working and spending time in the outdoors, a passion for nature and for the science of the natural world. A passion for adventure, and physical challenge. I find value in doing work that is meaningful and allows me to be a part of a team. It takes me to wild places, and reminds me of my insignificance in the face of mother nature.
Having obtained my Danger Tree Assessor ticket in May, 2016, combined with my Occupational First Aid ticket, gives me additional skills to contribute to my team.
