The Unifier (a.k.a. Andy Richards) is a former member of Management. His title was earned due to how he unified our species and positioned himself as the first formal leader of our kin in the early 1900's. However, after making the mistake of allowing James Lambert to be elected and nearly discover our kin in 1972, Richards was eliminated due to his failures. The leader of the newly created Walker Creek Tourism Bureau, The Tour Guide, led a hostile takeover and became the leader of our kin.
Richards began as a miner in Sanders Mine in 1897. After the 1902 Mine Collapse, he became obsessed with the idea of finding and stopping Native American attackers, which he believed were behind the dynamite explosion that caused the collapse. He was dismissed by John Sanders and formed his own militia with Issac Smithy to investigate and hunt down those he believed were responsible. This militia grew to be over a dozen men. In 1904, Richards was jailed for provoking a fight with another worker. Smithy led the militia in his absence. However, John Sanders forced him to disband the militia under threat of treason against the newly formed Walker Creek County.
In 1909, he secretly reformed this militia to attack the Hosted. In 1910, his second-in-command, Issac Smithy, was killed, driving him further into obsession and violence. Mayor Sanders failed to stop Richards and he was captured/Hosted in 1911.
The Hosted Richards used his status within Walker Creek to promote a new plan for the Hosted society which he called "The Ascension", based on old legends. Due to uniting the Hosted for the first time under this plan, he earned the title "The Unifier". Over the next several decades, he led Hosted society through Harvest Festivals, the election of Hosted Mayors, and the capture of Louise Peterson. However, his failure to stop the election of James Lambert and subsequent bankruptcy in Walker Creek led to his execution by the Tour Guide.
