James Lambert (born 1935) was the Mayor of Walker Creek County in 1972. He was the 8th Mayor of Walker Creek. He was only in office for 10 months before being impeached in November 1972. Before becoming the Mayor of Walker Creek, he had moved to Seattle to enter into politics. After complete failure, he returned to Walker Creek and ran for the position of Mayor.
His election campaign led to high tension between his supporters and the supporters of his opponent, Joel Deckard. They ran smear campaigns against each other, and supporters at times became violent. However, he did win the election, supposedly with assistance from The Unifier, though this is unconfirmed.
During his time serving, his infrastructure renovation plans and additional construction projects ran the town into bankruptcy. These projects included the construction of a mall, renovations on all Main Street, an ice skating rink, office building and apartment building construction, and increased funding to all groups, including us. This overextension led to absolute failure. At the end, he attempted to redistribute funds but it still failed. None of these projects were successfully completed. James Lambert was impeached and fled Walker Creek, leaving to Montana, where he is believed to have started yet another political career.
The complete disaster of James Lambert's term had a long lasting impact on the county for decades and also set into motion the takeover of our organization by The Tour Guide, in which The Unifier was eliminated.
