"SANDERS" is a known rebel, identified via operations from 2019-Present. They are called a "hacker" and had their existence confirmed by Thomas Abernathy after his capture in the Observatory Attack. They have had a major role in several attacks, including the Observatory Attack and Mayors Office Attack.
In the Observatory Attack, they were the one that disabled power to the Observatory and later placed an encrypted drive in the Observatory servers. This drive appeared to be for the purpose of copying data or communicating with someone.
Prior to the Mayors Office attack, servers all around Walker Creek County were hacked by "SANDERS" including Walker Creek Observatory servers, WCPD Servers, Walker Creek General Store servers, and more.
After the Mayors Office attack, a file was placed on all of the breached servers titled "lsno". After following several clues, a reddit account titled fkfpr_ap (sande_rs when decoded) was found with a message encoded with the Enigma machine encoding method. The message was written by "SANDERS". See below.
"SANDERS" is a pseudonym referring to John Sanders, and we do not know their true identity. They have taunted us in the past by hacking into our servers and are supposedly the person behind the 2019-2020 Hijackings on the Walker Creek Broadcast Station. Since May 2021, they have increased this activity and become completely relentless with constant breaches and "pranks".
The message written by "SANDERS": "Hey Walker Creek, this is Sanders. You never figured out what I made for you in February, but that's alright. I'm hoping you can solve this one. A little cryptography for a history nerd like me. If you're reading this then we either killed Jones, injured Jones, or screwed up completely. No matter what you're here now, reading this. Y'all should know that these attacks are only going to get worse. I'm in all of your databases. I see everything you do. Nathaniel knows everything you do. Now I could go on and on and keep threatening you, but that feels useless. I'll end this off with a few specific messages.
Message for Management: We're not done hunting you down. Jones is only the start.
Message for the Hosted: We wish you'd reconsider but we also know that's not gonna happen.
Message for the Investigators: I see you.
