At 3:10pm on June 29, 2021, several explosions occurred within the Mayors Office. This was an assassination attempt on Mayor Jones. Additional explosions continued for over an hour afterwards. These were caused by homemade explosives placed throughout the building beforehand. After the initial round of explosions, 12 rebels entered the building to confirm their asassination attempt was successful, and finish the job if necessary. However, they were intercepted by us and killed before they were successful. However, Councilman Lewis, Councilman Smith, Councilwoman Perkins, and Councilman Edwards were killed, as well as Cynthia Bloom, Howard Carvings, and Vincent Wells (lower level employees).
A message was left on servers around Walker Creek by the rebel SANDERS, which led to an encoded message. The message said: "Hey Walker Creek, this is Sanders. You never figured out what I made for you in February, but that's alright. I'm hoping you can solve this one. A little cryptography for a history nerd like me. If you're reading this then we either killed Jones, injured Jones, or screwed up completely. No matter what you're here now, reading this. Y'all should know that these attacks are only going to get worse. I'm in all of your databases. I see everything you do. Nathaniel knows everything you do. Now I could go on and on and keep threatening you, but that feels useless. I'll end this off with a few specific messages.
Message for Management: We're not done hunting you down. Jones is only the start.
Message for the Hosted: We wish you'd reconsider but we also know that's not gonna happen.
Message for the Investigators: I see you.
