Samuel Jones (born 1969) is the current Mayor of Walker Creek County. He has focused on stability within the town and creating a safe, vibrant community. He was first elected in 2004 after defeating his opponent, Walter Kanan, and he is the 11th Mayor of Walker Creek.
Samuel Jones was born into the Jones family (the owners of the Jones Farm), but he went on to instead have a career in politics rather than farming. He discovered this interest through volunteer work under Mayor Tom Sorkan in the late 1970's and early 1980's. He later became a member of the city council under Mayor Alan Brown. In 2004, Mayor Brown decided to step down, and Samuel Jones ran in his place, winning by a landslide due to his friendly personality and previous experience in the city council.
Mayor Jones's handling of the 2005 Flood had a major boost to his reputation, and increased the Walker Creek community's trust in him. Over time he kept proving himself, with many new laws and events to help the community. Behind the scenes, Mayor Jones has been an immense help to our cause and has been continually innovating and figuring out new ways to attract people to Walker Creek and the Harvest Festival.
As of February 2020, Mayor Jones has taken on a bigger role within the daily operations of Hosted society, rather than focusing solely on county matters.
During the Mayors Office Attack, Mayor Jones was severely injured and was taken to a hospital outside of Walker Creek for treatment. He was treated by one of our free agents. He recovered during the month of July and wrote an open letter to the county on July 9. On August 2nd, he returned to his duties.
