Support the Walden Public School Community in upgrading the school yard!
Walden Public School is proud to be a green school, focused on energy conservation and environmental stewardship. Since opening in 2009, we’ve offered English and French Immersion programs for students from Kindergarten to Grade 6.
When the school opened, no funds were available for a play structure — and yard upgrades aren’t covered by the Ministry of Education. That’s why our School Council has been working hard to fundraise for a safe, modern school yard.
We’re now launching the next phase of our campaign, seeking community support and sponsorships to help complete the second half of our play structure.
We’re hoping our community will rally to support this project to create a new, safe hub for families and children to gather surrounded by gardens and natural play features.
Our first goal is COMPLETE . Fundraising projects raised $78,000 for Phase 1.
An additional $151,000 is required for purchase and installation of Phase 2.
Phase 1 has been installed and children are enjoying the play structure as of September 2025.
