Litter Intelligence Training 

September 17th 2022

On September 17, 2022, WSSA members engaged in a comprehensive Litter Intelligence Training session, focusing on beach clean-up techniques and data collection methods. This training was instrumental in preparing volunteers for the upcoming International Coastal Clean-Up Day. Throughout the day, attendees learned about the importance of accurately documenting litter data, which plays a crucial role in understanding and mitigating marine pollution. The session concluded with participants feeling empowered and equipped with the necessary skills to make a significant impact during the clean-up event.

International Coastal Beach Clean Up Day

August 2022

It was a fantastic weekend participating in the International Coastal Clean-Up Day! A big thank you to all the volunteers from WSSA for their hard work. Teaming up with Dive Gizo, Positive Change for Marine Life, and WWF, we were able to conduct a small underwater clean-up of Gizo waterfront harbor. Working together, we made a meaningful impact in preserving our marine environments.
