Skillstreaming: This group will focus on developing stronger social skills utilizing the evidence-based Skillstreaming Curriculum. Skills covered include intentional listening, starting a conversation, having a conversation, introducing oneself, giving a compliment, asking for help, joining a conversation, expressing thoughts/feelings, and handling conflict.
Skills for Success: This group's focus is to help students develop stronger executive function skills such as organization, planning and prioritizing, task initiation, and time management. We will learn how to use a planner, organize a backpack and paperwork, how to prioritize assignments, and to initiate difficult tasks.
Coping with Stress and Anxiety: This group will offer a safe place for students to share about the things causing them stress and/or anxiety and work as a group to support each other. Students in this group will learn positive coping skills, build resiliency, empathy, and grow in their social emotional development.
