A new cohort of mentors will be trained in 2020, 2021, and 2022.
All new mentors will be working with the AASL Standards.
Each member of each cohort will receive:
AASL National School Library Standards
Mentoring Matters, by Bruce Wellman and Laura Lipton
AASL's Shared Foundations: Include.
Mentors will be paid for their work with their mentee.
Participate as a member of the Cohort
Acclimate a new librarian to the culture, goals, systems and best practices of the school and Supervisory Union
Introduce the role of and resources available through VSLA
Orient the new teachers to the Supervision and Evaluation Model within the district
Commit to using the AASL National School Library Standards for Goal Setting with Mentees
