Koo is an Indian social media platform that was founded in November 2019 by Aprameya Radhakrishna and Mayank Bidawatka. It is based in Bengaluru, India and has a current valuation of over $275 million. Koo started as a microblogging site, but has since expanded to include features such as networking and content creation. It gained popularity in India after winning the government's Atmanirbhar App Innovation Challenge, which recognized the best apps from a pool of 7000 submissions across the country. Prior to co-founding Koo, Radhakrishna had founded and sold the online taxi booking service TaxiForSure to Ola Cabs.
