  • For a period of three years, wrote ‘in brief’, and other articles in the “Meltho” magazine that was published in Melbourne – Australia.

  • The chief editor of Noohro since 5th November 1995. This weekly bulletin ran between 1995-2016 and used to be distributed to those who attended the Holy Mass in Perth, and contained several historical, linguistic, and literal topics that relate to our holy church and Syriac language.  In addition, some issues of this bulletin were published and on weekly basis on the web. http://noohro.cjb.net.

  • Starting 1995, and to join the technological advancement, and to introduce others to our beloved Holy Syriac Orthodox Church, the traditional church, V. Rev. Fr. Issa assisted by members of the Issa family established a web page that included historical facts about our Holy Church, amongst other relevant materials. http://soca.cjb.net. It is worthwhile to note here that this web site was the first site that talked about our Syriac Orthodox Church of Antioch at the dawn of the internet.

  • Organized and published in three languages (i.e., Syriac, Arabic, English) of two Anaforas of St. James (AD 61+) and Mor Yacoub Bar Slaibi.

  • 1986 – V. Rev. Fr. Issa and his son Touma implemented the Syriac Characters in the Personal Computer.  Here quoting from Kiraz, G.A., 2011. Forty Years of Syriac Computing. Hugoye: Journal of Syriac Studies, 10(1), pp.37-60. “Independently, Touma Issa produced a Syriac font in Fontrix with the help of his father Corepiscopos Butros Touma [V. Rev. Fr. Boutros Touma Issa] and used it to print church banners in 1986.”

  • The efforts exerted in producing a Syriac font were recorded in a conference paper by (three of V. Rev. Fr. Issa’s children: Theodora Issa, Tomayess Issa and Touma Issa) in (2010) under the title: ‘From DOS to Unicode: a literature review and a Syriac (Aramaic) standpoint’. In: The IADIS international conference on internet technologies and society, 29 Nov - 1 Dec, Perth, Western Australia pp. 329-332.

As for V. Rev. Fr. Issa’s unpublished work:

• Lessons in Syriac Literature, that V. Rev. Fr. Issa composed specifically for the students at the Syriac College students – Beirut.

• A study in the names of the cities, villages, rivers, and streams in Jordan.

• Honourable historical stands of our history – some were published in different issues of Noohro – The LIGHT (working on combining them in a book in English).

• Aramaic names from the Holy Bible – some were published in different issues of Noohro – The LIGHT (working on combining them in a book in English).

• A Conference paper in three languages (Syriac, Arabic and English) on the spread of Christianity in the East – 2009 –. (The English version of this paper was included in the SAYFO book of 2017).
