Key Accomplishments
2750 Mountain Road Trailhead: Supported the installation of a new parking lot and bathroom to enhance the trailhead. Weber County RAMP grants were applied to this project to lessen the financial burden on North Ogden City.
Lomond View Pickleball Courts: Supported the installation of pickleball courts in Lomond View Park. Utilized a Weber County RAMP grant and private donations to bring the first and much needed pickleball courts to North Ogden City!
Water Works Experience: With Mayor Berube's expertise and leadership the City Council negotiated a donations off approximately 1/2 acre of land and over $100K from the neighboring landowner to install this unique set of water experience equipment, making for a fun little area for toddlers and children to play with the water.
2100 North Water Tank: Supported installation of the water tank to quadruple water storage for the south end of North Ogden City, this was a much needed expansion that was made possible mostly by federal funds given to North Ogden City through ARPA (American Rescue Plan Act of 2021).
Intersection of Washington and 2700 North southbound dedicated turn lane. When UDOT developed the intersection at 2700 and Washington a few years ago there was an oversight by UDOT for the need of a dedicated right turn lane, many citizens had lamented this problem. Our City engineer was able to convince UDOT to allow North Ogden City to do engineering and propose a solution to make the turn lane a possibility. $115K in RDA funds were applied to make this possible, these are tax increment funds that don't come from Property Taxes.
Playground equipment: I've been supportive of playground equipment refreshes throughout the city. For many years North Ogden has pushed the envelope of useful time with our equipment. North Ogden City only has 3 more playgrounds to catch up on and we'll be able to take a breather from replacements and more gradually raise the funds and keep our equipment in great shape.
