Jakob Stokes (Cornell BS '20, Pepperdine JD '24) is a lawyer living in Oak Park, CA. He has volunteered for campaigns across the Central Valley and was previously president of the student government at Pepperdine Law. In his spare time, he enjoys making music and watching the waves roll in at Zuma.
Jillian O'Meara is a post-bar law clerk awaiting bar results after graduating from Pepperdine Law School working at a legal firm in Woodland Hills, CA. She is a longtime local of the Conejo Valley and has been involved in church functions, community service, and social events. She enjoys binging reality television and visiting new restaurants.
Hunter Hastings (University of Oregon BS '18, Pepperdine MDR '20, MPP '20, JD '24) is a postbar clerk working at a legal firm in Woodland Hills, CA. He is passionate about social justice and civic advocacy, and during his undergraduate tenure at Oregon, he played Division 1 football as an offensive tackle.
Kyle Finkel is a third-year law student at Pepperdine Caruso School of Law. Prior to his legal education, Kyle attended the University of Florida where he gained his B.A. in Business Administration. Kyle has various experiences in several fields of law adjacent to campaign work such as: Civil Litigation, Family Law, and Public Interest work. In his free time Kyle enjoys watching sports, spending time at the beach, and watching movies.
Taylor Mathis recently took the California Bar Exam and is currently awaiting results. She graudated from Pepperdine Caruso School of Law cum laude in 2024. Prior to her legal education, she graduated from the University of California, San Diego summa cum laude with a degree in political science and human rights. She has lived in the Conejo Valley for 10 years. When not working or studying, she spends her time training her dogs, baking, and enjoying time with her family and friends.
Ana ParkvonSimun (Cal Lutheran Poli Sci '20, Pepperdine Law J.D. '24) is a law clerk living in Thousand Oaks, CA. She has lived in the area over a decade and is invested in the community and local politics. In her spare time, she likes to attend live music events and spend time with her friends patronizing local businesses.
Sarina Marlin graduted from Pepperdine Law School in May of 2024. She was born and raised in the Conejo Valley, and is passionate about giving back to her community however she can. She has volunteered at local animal rescues, emergency hotlines, legal aid clinics, and provided fundraising services to Southern California marine mammal hospitals. While awaiting bar results, as a post-bar clerk, she works at a local firm providing representation to vulnerable members of our community.
Khashak "Kash" Stepanian is an Oak Park resident who is currently finishing his last year at Pepperdine Caruso School of Law. He graduated magna cum laude from UCLA with a B.A. in Psychology and has been teaching chess for eleven years. His legal experience consists of working as a research assistant for a Pepperdine Law professor and clerking at a corporate law firm in Las Vegas. His interests include health and fitness, strength training, and giving therapeutic and motivational advice. He is currently writing a self-help book and plans to publish it by 2025.
Caleb Bearman is a senior at Pepperdine University, where he is majoring in Political Science. He is the Vice President of Pepperdine College Democrats. He previously worked as a Legislative Intern for Congressman Bennie Thompson and as an International Disaster Response and Recovery Intern for the Salvation Army World Service Office. In his free time he enjoys bass fishing and watching classic movies.
Ryan O'Meara is a first-year law student at the Pepperdine University Caruso School of Law. Prior to his legal education, he attained his B.S. in Political Science at California Lutheran University. He has 6+ years of experience working at a civil litigation firm in supporting roles and is pursuing a career in civil litigation and political advocacy.
Tess is a dedicated public servant and third year law student with experience in systemic impact litigation, public policy reform, and grassroots organizing. She graduated from UCSB in 2012 and spent the years before law school working with state and federal housing programs to increase housing stability for vulnerable families. Most recently, she has worked with legal aid foundations in Los Angeles County and Orange County on access to justice issues and legislative advocacy.
