Pyper has been my Medical Alert & Response Service Dog since August 2021, a role she performs with unwavering dedication, intelligence, and heart.
Beyond her exceptional structure, Pyper excels in every way a dog can. She has a rock-solid, stable temperament with no behavioral issues and works confidently in any environment she is placed in. She is highly intelligent and learns new commands and tasks with remarkable speed.
Pyper has a strong ball and prey drive and is extremely food motivated, making her a joy to train and work with. She is wonderful with children, adults, and other dogs. Some of her favorite activities include swimming, boating, playing fetch, running alongside the quad, spending time with the kids—and above all else, working.
As difficult as it is to say, Pyper is now retired from our breeding program. This decision was made with a heavy heart but complete peace of mind, as it is rooted in love, responsibility, and putting her well-being first.
Pyper was four years old when she had her first and only litter. She was an incredible, devoted, and nurturing mother, but she experienced serious complications following the birth of her puppies. From the very beginning, I promised her she would be my “one-and-done” girl, and I will honor that promise wholeheartedly.
Pyper gave us 10 beautiful puppies, each carrying her spirit, drive, and heart. Sadly, we lost one stunning jet-black boy despite every effort. We were blessed with 9 healthy puppies: 7 handsome boys and 2 gorgeous girls.
Although Pyper produced only one litter due to medical concerns, her impact on our program is profound and lasting. I am currently growing out both of her daughters with the hope that they will carry on her legacy. If they pass all health testing and earn their working titles, they will become the next generation of our program.
While Pyper is retired from breeding, her story is far from over. She will continue working as the phenomenal service dog she is, exploring new dog sports, stepping into the conformation ring, and most importantly, adventuring by my side through every chapter of life.
Thank you, Pyper, for everything you’ve given me—far more than I could have ever asked for. Now it’s my turn to give back, to keep every promise, and to love you through every stage of life.
To the dog who saved me: thank you.
Even when the words never feel like enough, I will never stop saying them.
Here’s to new beginnings, always led by the dog who changed everything.
