Volunteer Firefighter Alliance is a national organization. It assists Volunteer Fire Departments in the United States through several programs that facilitate fundraising, community outreach, volunteer retention, and recruitment, and educate the public about the many benefits Volunteer Fire Departments provide their communities and the challenges they face.
Volunteer Firefighter Alliance has four programs: Firefighter Recruitment, Fire Prevention, Crisis Support Helpline, and National Firefighter Appreciation Campaign. The organization has also started a series of blogs on its advocacy to add to these services.
The blogs will cover a broad range of topics, from helping local Volunteer Fire Departments and becoming a firefighter to essential safety tips for preventing fires at home, at work, or anywhere else and what to do in case of a fire.
Readers will also be treated to some heroic stories of firefighters and the many ways people can thank these heroes for the service they provide.
